Under the direct supervision of the Dietary Services Manager and with the assistance of a Registered Dietitian, Asta Care Center plans and provides three well-balanced meals daily for our residents. Special physician prescribed diets are provided for those residents who require them. All residents are encouraged to dine in one of our dining areas to enhance the pleasure of dining and socializing with others. Residents who require assistance to feed themselves receive individualized attention in a dignified manner in a dining area suited to their special needs. Residents are interviewed upon admission to determine individual preferences and patterns. This is updated as tastes and needs change. Residents enjoy participating in planning special "resident choice" meals monthly. Family and friends are welcome to join the resident for a meal.
